Poly Studio P21 is a monitor with microphone, camera and lighting

Poly, the brand launched after headphone maker Plantronics bought Polycom videoconferencing in 2018, announced a new line of office equipment for the work-from-home era.

There's the $ 130 Poly Studio P5 personal webcam, $ 600 Poly Studio P15 personal video segment, and the $ 815 Poly Studio P21 personal meeting screen.

The screen is particularly interesting, as it measures 21 inches and is designed to make the most of video calls.

The screen includes a built-in webcam with a physical privacy shutter, microphone and built-in stereo speakers, and there is a pair of ambient lights on its left and right sides to keep your face well-lit in video calls.

The display stand works as a wireless charger, and there are shortcut buttons for video calls along the bottom of the screen, including one to quickly mute the microphone.

There is no mention of screen resolution or panel type on its product page, and Poly specifically promotes it as a second or back-up display, despite being advertised as Professional.

And the personal video piece is a 4K webcam capable of keeping you in frame automatically with a built-in speaker and microphone.

There is a 1080p personal webcam with 4x digital zoom and an integrated USB Type-A connector that allows you to connect a wireless headphone receiver directly to the back of the camera.

Both cameras have built-in privacy shutters, and they also sell the Poly Studio P5 webcam paired with your choice of personal devices: including a headphone or portable speaker, so you're ready to go in seconds, starting at $ 150.

Poly has been in the video conferencing business for a while, first as Polycom and then Poly since its rebrand in 2019.

The launch of its latest products comes after a massive increase in the number of people working from home, which is expected to continue long after the immediate health risks of the pandemic.

Last year saw a webcam shortage as people upgraded their home video calling settings, and Poly says all three new products will be available starting in April.
